About Us
Concrete Calculator is the free planning tool at goconcretecalc.com (brand: GoConcreteCalc). We help you turn form dimensions into cubic yards, bags, and weight before you call the plant.
Who we are
GoConcreteCalc publishes a concrete calculator focused on one job: order the right amount. Slabs, footings, walls, sonotubes, bags, yards, mix ratios, gravel, and blocks share the same yields and waste habits so a patio takeoff and a bag count do not disagree.
We are not a ready-mix plant, bag brand, or engineering office. The site is educational planning software — see the Disclaimer for liability limits.

Who we are
Concrete Calculator is the planning site behind GoConcreteCalc on goconcretecalc.com. We build free calculators for concrete volume, bags, weight, mix ratios, gravel, and blocks — aimed at the searches people make before they call a plant or buy bags.
We publish the math in the open so you can audit a ticket. Contact: davidmarkk1345@gmail.com.
Concrete Calculator: What a result assumes
Concrete Calculator is a planning calculator. The numbers below are the defaults behind every yard, bag, and weight line. Change density or bag size in the tool when your supplier prints something different — the bag in your hand wins.
- 1 yd³ = 27 ft³ · 1 m³ ≈ 35.315 ft³
- Normal concrete 150 lb/ft³ (4,050 lb/yd³); lightweight option ≈ 110; rebar allowance option ≈ 156
- Bag yields: 80 lb=0.60 · 60=0.45 · 50=0.375 · 40=0.30 ft³
- 94 lb portland cement bag = 1 ft³ in mix calculator; dry factor 1.54
- Ready-mix rounds up to 0.25 yd³
- Gravel 1.35–1.5 ton/yd³ by material · blocks 1.125 per ft² · mortar ≈ 1 bag / 14 blocks
Concrete Calculator: What it will not do
Concrete Calculator does not design footings, certify psi, size rebar, or invent local prices. Nominal mix ratios are not strength grades. Typical patio thicknesses are not a substitute for a drawing on soft soil or under vehicles. If a plant ticket or engineer sets the section, use those numbers here.
Where the pages came from
Calculators and guides follow keyword groups from a top-ranking concrete calculator SERP and a specialist competitor directory. Duplicates and typos were merged so one strong URL owns each intent — home owns “this tool,” shape pages own shape terms, bags/yards/weight own unit intents.
The writing model is tool first, worked examples with real numbers, mistakes people actually make, then FAQ — not an encyclopedia article that never shows the order quantity.
Privacy
Dimensions stay in your browser. Job totals use session storage for this tab. Nothing is uploaded for calculation. Questions: davidmarkk1345@gmail.com.
What we publish openly
Bag yields, densities, dry-mix factors, and plant rounding steps are listed so you can audit a ticket. If a bag label disagrees with a default yield, trust the label for that product.
Region presets change default units and truck sizes for the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia. Your numbers stay in the browser session until you clear them.
Honest limits
We do not invent national average prices. Cost fields stay blank until you type a plant or bag rate you actually have. Structural decisions belong to a designer or the local building department. See our disclaimer for the full planning-only notice.
How to read a result
Neat volume is the geometric takeoff before waste. Waste covers spillage and low spots. The plant order is waste-adjusted volume rounded to the next quarter yard in US and Canada presets, or 0.1 m³ on metric pages.
Bag lines always round up. Weight uses the density you selected. Cost stays empty until you type a rate you trust from your plant or bag quote.
Spanish and English share the same math. Region presets update default units and truck size so the ticket matches how local plants sell concrete.
